Character:

A very fine new addition with a number of very intense wall climbs intermingled between some impressive (and Bolted) cracklines, this quarry sits behind The Boat public house on the A6 from Matlock to Matlock Bath

In the winter months it suffers a large amount of seepage but when dry provides an ideal venue for sports climbing. It also faces east and gets very little sunshine and therefore provides an ideal summer venue, despite the outlook.

Approaches:

Locate the gates outside the quarry and find a parking space nearby, either just outside the gates or on a number of parking venues nearby for which some you may have to pay on. Negotiate the front gates and walk in.
